The incidence of repeat breeding was found to be 16.03%. The incidence of repeat breeding was highest in second parity (25.67%) and lowest incidence in 4th and onward partum (16.21%). The mean pH ± S.E. of cervical mucous of repeat breeder cattle before treatment was found to be 7.93 ± 0.051 with the coefficient of variation of 5.55 per cent whereas after treatment these values were 7.406 ± 0.054 and 5.56 per cent, respectively. The consistency of cervical mucous of repeat breeder cattle were found to be thin in 58.10 per cent while thick in 41.89 per cent before treatment, whereas thin in 64.40 and thick in 35.59 per cent, respectively after treatment. The conception rate was found to be 60.52 and 42.85 per cent for thin and thick consistency of cervical mucous. The result revealed that higher conception rate was found in animals showing thin consistency than thick consistency of cervical mucous.
