Samples of pastry cream were examined for various yeast isolates. Out of 30 samples, yeast isolates were recovered from 15 samples. Five different genera were isolated and identified from the samples. Out of 15 isolates maximum number of genus Candida (53.33%) were found, followed by Cryptococcus, (26.66%) and 6.66% of genus Saccharomyces, Kluyveromyces and Debaryomyces each.
