Therapeutic efficacy of albendazole against gastrointestinal nematodes in calves

Abstract

Fourteen calves positive with gastrointestinal nematodes were included in the present study to determine the efficacy of Albendazole. The study reveals gradual reduction of EPG following a single dose of Albendazole and complete elimination of parasitic egg was observed on 14th day of post treatment. Hb level rises during the post treatment period and recorded at 0 and 21st day as 8.70 ± 0.02 and 9.72 ± 0.02 gm per cent respectively.
