Total 100 families were selected to observe the impact of nearby abattoir activities. They all were the resident in the vicinity of town area owned slaughter house. The residents in the radius of 0.1km to the abattoir were randomly selected for interview using relevant indicators to investigate effects on their health. The study indicated pollution of water and air quality of local built environment in the vicinity of the abattoir. Residents of that area were having reduced quality of health. In this area the cases of elevation of excessive coughing, typhoid fever, diarrhoea, malaria and muscle pains were reported. Similarly diarrhoea, trypnosomiasis, internal and external parasitic infestation, fever and cases of reduced milk yield were also reported in animals.
