A case of concurrent infection of Ehrlichia canis and Hepatozoon canis was reported in a seven months old female German shepherd dog. Giemsa-stained peripheral blood smear examination revealed positive for both E. canis and H. canis. Haematology was indicative of normocytic normochromic anaemia with neutrophilic leucocytosis and thrombocytopenia whereas serum biochemical parameters were non-significant. However, level of lipid peroxides (LPO) and activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in RBC hemolysate of infected dog were found to be significantly increased (p<0.05) and decreased (p<0.05) as compared to healthy control respectively which was indicative of oxidative stress.
