Abstract

The results of the present study revealed that methanolic extract of F. religiosa leaves has shown certain antibacterial activity against P. multocida followed by E. coli in higher concentrations; however, it has shown no activity against P. aeruginosa and S. aureus. Again, P. aeruginosa and P. multocida were weakly susceptible to the aqueous extract of leaves of Ziziphus mauritiana, whereas, E. coli and S. aureus were not susceptible to it.
