Twenty two horses raised at Bareilly and its nearby districts of Uttar Pradesh in India were reported to have unilateral motile worm in the aquous humour of their eyes. The parasites were removed surgically from the anterior chamber of the eye in all the cases and were identified as Setaria digitata based on microscopic features. All the animals regained transparency and thereby vision in 17–21 days postsurgically, after treatment with placentrex, atropine sulphate, oxytetracycline, and albendazole and ivermectin combination.
