Abstract

The present work was carried out to analyse the Kappa casein variants in Zalawadi goat breeds by PCR-RFLP method. A total of 50 unrelated blood samples belonging to Zalawadi goats were used for analysis and DNA were extracted from blood samples. All samples were genotyped by PCR-RFLP method, in which BseNI and Alw44I restriction endonuclease were used. PCR-RFLP analysis confirmed GG, GA and AA genotype with BseNI restriction endonuclease and CC, CT, TT genotype with Alw44I restriction endonuclease. The present investigation showed polymorphism of CSN3 gene in Zalawadi goat.
