A total 804 birds of thirteen different species affected with various kinds of injuries were studied. Out of them most affected birds were pigeons (467, 58.08%), followed by kites (258, 32.08%), crows (29, 03.60%), doves (15, 01.65%), ibis (08, 0.99%), owls (08, 0.99%), peacocks (05, 0.62%), bats (04, 0.49%), night herons (03, 0.37%), ducks (03, 0.37%), vultures (02, 0.24%), eagle (01, 0.12%) and flamingo (01, 0.12%). The injured birds were graded as per prognosis based on clinical assessment. After detail examination they were provided appropriate surgico-therapeutic treatment. Highest rate of recovery was found in birds treated for minor lacerations and ruptured propatagium membrane. More than 50 per cent of birds were cured and resumed normalcy so as to live in the natural habitat.
