Abstract

A study was conducted to investigate immunomodulatory efficacy of Praziquantel and Ivermectin in H. diminuta infected mice. The treated mice showed significant increases in total leucocyte count, however, fluctuation in the neutrophils and monocyte count were observed. Significant increase in leucocyte count in the infected mice indicates stimulated cell mediated as well as humoral immunity which suggests that both the drugs can be a good cestocidal agent and may boost the immune response of the host.
