The present study was designed to determine the effects of Preksha Meditation on memory among 80 older women. The participants were randomly divided into an experimental group (n=40) and a control group (n=40). For pre and post-study memory evaluation, the SetTest from the PGI battery for assessment of mental efficiency in the elderly (PGI-BAMEE-KAVSPD) was used For 90 days, the experimental group practiced the Preksha Meditation intervention for 45 minutes. At the Post-3 level, the mean memory scores were higher in the experimental group than in the control group. Therefore, there was a statistically significant difference between the groups (p<0.01). On the basis of the present findings, it may be concluded that the Preksha Meditation intervention helped the elderly improve their memory.
