This study was an attempt to reach out and provide support to the bereaved family members who lost their beloved family member and their inability to cope with the loss during the period of the second wave of the pandemic. This period was particularly challenging for People with Parkinson’s (PwPs) and their caregivers. Sixty-four participants(PwPs and caregivers) who had lost a loved one during this period were selected using a convenient sampling technique. These 64 participants were given sixonline sessionson the Zoom platform to handle their grief The sessions aimed to help the participants identify their emotions and cope with the grief process with acceptance. After a year, feedback on the session was also gathered by sending out Google forms on all the WhatsApp groups. The thematic analyses of the content elicited in the sessions revealed four main common concerns: distress, an unusual process for the last rites, recalling the lives of loved ones, and positive expression. Feedback posts a year after suggested that participants found the sessions beneficial, highlighting the positive impact of these support sessions. Based on these findings, it may be concluded that the responses gathered show the benefits of the psychological assistance provided through these group sessions. The findings depict the need to study its therapeutic value for better understanding and implementation offuture support groups for grief The urgencyfor further research in this area is evident, and your continued work in this field is crucial. We encourage the academic community to contribute to this important field ofresearch, as further studies can help us better understand and implement effective support groups for grief among PwPs and their caregivers.
