Inheritance of Hypersensitive Reaction to Mosaic Viruses in 24-Chromosome Potatoes

The hypersensitive reaction shown by Solannm simplicifolium towards virus Y is conditioned by a single dominant gene N_Y. Hypersensitive reactions to viruses X, A and C in the 24-chromosome species studied are controlled by single dominant genes, Nx, NA and Nc respectively. It is considered that the 24-chromosome Solanum species examined are all functional diploids.
