Abstract

Reciprocal crosses were made among six selected lines of Indian squash and 28 crosses and six parent lines grown. A split plot design was used to lay out the experiment, each entry being grown at high and low soil fertility levels. Data were collected on yield per plant.

Out of 28 hybrids, 34-1/2 X R20-2/2 and its reciprocal gave the best yield performance at both levels of fertility.
