Abstract

In a self-incompatible form of Brassica campestris (Toria Abohar), it was found that buds on the secondary branches gave lower success on selfing a day before opening than those on primary branches. Seed setting at different times, before or after flower opening, gave varying results in different years. The maximum seed set on bud-pollination was obtained 24 or 48 hours before flower opening.
