Abstract

The seedling resistance of N.P. (R.R.) 9 and N.P. (R.R.) 498 to race I1 of Melampsora lini show similar genetic control, being controlled by a single pair of dominant genes. Resistance of N.P. (R.R.) 45 to race I1 in crosses with E.B. 3 and N.P. 12 was found to be governed by two pairs of complementary genes contributed by the resistant parent.
