Abstract

The mode of inheritance of field reaction to yellow rust was studied in nine crosses, involving types belonging to H. vulgare or H. distichon. In all the crosses, resistance to yellow rust was found to be dominant in F1. The F2, F3 and back-cross data showed that resistance is controlled by a single factor pair.
