Abstract

In order to study the effect of pollination methods on the fruit yield of certain cucurbitaceous crops, an investigation was taken up at the Institute of Agriculture, Anand, during the years 1958 and 1959. Artificial pollination by hand can increase the fruit set in crops like Dudhi, Kola, Kakri and Parwar; it has no adverse effect on the fruit weight. Thus, by adopting artificial pollination by hand, the yield of Dudhi, Kola, Kakri and Parwar can be increased.
