Sixteen important Indian wheat varieties were tested under natural rust infection as well as chemotherapeutically protected conditions using Zineb fungicidal sprays. The fungicidal spray treatment resulted in increased grain size as also in slight improvement in gluten, protein content and better appearance of the grain.
