The genes conditioning adult plant resistance to black rust in the wheat variety Lerma Rojo 64A were located on five chromosomes—III (3B), VIII (4B), IX (5A), XI (3A) and XIII (2B) through monosomic studies in the F2 generation. The genes for resistance are thus all located in A and B genomes.
