Abstract

Inheritance studies in a cross- Telikirisal-4 × Kagisali-44-1 1n rice indicated that erect habit of growth of tillers was dominant over spreading habit and was due to two complementary factors (Erta and Ertb). Two other complementary factors (Lxpa and Lxpb) were found to be responsible for lax panicle which was dominant over compact panicle. The factors responsible for these two characters as well as those for scentedness and early flowering assorted independently of each other.
