Abstract

The inheritance of four quantitative characters in four crosses of Brassica campestris L. were etudiedd Heritability waa sstimated dt obeigh hor rome eo the characters. Transgressive segregation was expected in the segregating progenies for most of the characters. Epistasis appeared to have inflated additive variation. Both duplicate and complementary types of epistasis were detected. Dominance × dominance (1) followed by additive × additive (i) types of epistasis were more important in most cases. Yield was found to be geno-typically correlated with all the four quantitative characters studied, which were detected to be associated with seed colour.
