Dominance and epistasis, especially dominance × dominance played a major role in the inheritance of days for first flowering and flower weight. Additive gene effects and epistasis, dominance × dominance, were found to be more predominant in number of flowers. Transgressive segregation for various characters was observed in the F2 generation, thus indicating its importance in the improvement of these characters.
