Barley seeds were irradiated with five different doses of fast neutrons before treating them with 0.1% concentration of diethyl sulphate (dES)) Treatment of seeds with dES either immediately or 20 days after fast neutron irradiation resulted in synergistic effect on both anaphase fragments and bridges. Storage of fast neutron irradiated seeds did not alter the frequency of fragments and bridges significantly.
