The F2 population derived from crosses between ‘JRC-212’ and ‘JRC-206’ showed that fibre percentage, green weight and fibre weight had higher genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance than other characters, viz., plant height, basal diameter and number of nodes. In general the characters showed significantly positive phenotypic and high genotypic correlations.
