Studies on the inheritance of plant height in relation to bacterial blight resistance in rice showed that the susceptibility gene(s) was not linked in any way to the height character thus indicating the possibility of incorporating the resistance factor(s) from different donor parents into dwarf-statured high yielding genotypes having Dee-Geo-Woo-Gen dwarfing gene.
