Abstract

Heterosis was studied in 38 F1 hybrids of Bengal-gram at the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana during 1970–71. Heterosis for yield and the number of pods was quite high, whereas negative heterosis was present for the 100-seed weight and days to 50 per cent flowering.
