Inheritance of days to flowering and photo-sensitiveness was studied in crosses between a late and photo-sensitive variety and five photo-insensitive varieties of mung bean, three of which were early and two medium in flowering. The F1’s of all the five crosses flowered as early as the early or medium parent in both summer and kharif seasons indicating dominance of earliness and of photoinsensitivity. The F2 segregation of the early × late and medium × late crosses gave good fit to a 13: 3 ratio; thus, digenic control involving recessive suppression is indicated, for days to flower.
