The inheritance of branched vs. unbranched in clusterbean followed a qualitative pattern, unbranched (BB) being monogenically dominant over branched (bb). Its simple dominance in F1, B1 and normal phenotypic ratios in F2 and B2 were, however, disturbed by the presence of minor modifying genes.
