Abstract

The inheritance of days to maturity and grain yield was studied in six generations of two crosses of pigeonpea. Partial dominance was observed for early maturity. Dominance interaction components were greater than the additive component for the inheritance of grain yield. There was considerable non-additive effects for the trait. It is suggested that lines with high yield and early maturity can be isolated which can best fit into multiple cropping patterns.
