Present study revealed that for highly heritable characters like seed size, seed size bulk as well as SSD methods of selection were effective. However, for characters of low heritability like yield and seed number, neither mass selection nor SSD and random methods were very effective after one generation of selection.
Intercropping proved to be a better environment for selection for seed size.
