Six plants flowering in 60 days were isolated in the second generation of 30 KR gamma-rayed dry seeds of variety, D 154 of Corchorus capsularis. Two selections of short-duration types (D–18–7 and D–18–8) tested on fifth generation under five different dates of sowing revealed photoperiod-insensitivity.
