Abstract

In the pigeon pea cross, ‘E.B.3 × Obcordifoliate’ flowering habit and leaflet shape were governed by single factor pairs; (3:1); height showed incomplete dominance (1:2:1). Trigenic ratios were obtained for branching habit (27:37), colour on the dorsal surface of standard petal (45:19) and seed coat colour (39:25). Linkage groups of Ssbra-Tht-Llt factor has been proposed.

The factors for colour on the dorsal surface of standard petal, flowering habit and seed coat colour were found to be assorted independently with the factors responsible for other characters.
