Genetic diversity using D2 analysis in 34 bajra (Pennisetum typhoides L.) strains obtained from different parts of the country, was studied in two different environments differing in level of fertility. Thirteen characters involving leaf, tiller, seed and other yield characters were used. There was considerable diversity in the material analysed. The diversity was more fully expressed in normal environment with fertilizer as compared to the environment without fertilizer.
