Eight indigenous hybrids along with ‘EC. 68415’ (open pollinated variety) as check were studied for phenotypic stability by growing them in three different years at Bangalore. The hybrids in general had greater specificity of adaptability to favourable environment. Taking into consideration high mean seed yield, oil content and hybrid seed production aspects, BSH-1 and BSH-2 were identified as the most desirable hybrids in the present material.
