The effect of gamma rays on ‘P 10’, ‘P 24’, ‘P 288’, ‘P 293’, ‘P 585’ and ‘LC 76’ and differential and combined effect of gamma rays and 0∙2% MES on ‘P 288’ of Lathyrus sativus L. in relation to morphological changes have been described. The segregation pattern of seed-coat colour mutants have been discussed. Although different varieties responded differently, no morphological variants were observed in ‘P 585’ at any dose.
