Three varieties, ‘Niwas’, ‘IPS-158’ and ‘IPS-370’ of Paspalum scrobilatum (L.) were irradiated with different doses of gamma rays and were stored in desci-cators at 4° C and 30° C. Observations on the germination and mortality were recorded after 36 months of post irradiation storage. Results show that there was increases in the rate of reduction in germination and mortality when treated seeds were stored at 30° G. It is suggested to store irradiated seeds at 4° C or still low temperature for a longer period without altering mutagenic damage. For this an ordinary refregerator can serve the purpose.
