One hundred and sixty two collections of capsularis jute and 94 collections of olitorins jute were screened against yellow mite (Hemitarsonemus lotus Banks). In capsularis type 18 collections were identified as highly resistant and 37 as resistant where as in olitorius there were 6 highly resistant and 14 resistant entries.
