A triple test cross in upland cotton was studied at two locations. Additive x additive (l) type of epistasis was significant for ginning outturn, lint index and halo length at Ludhiana and for ginning outurn, seed index and halo length at Faridkot, while its interaction with the environment was significant for seed index only. Epistasis (j and l type; was significant for all characters, except number of bolls at Ludhiana and for ginning outturn, seed index, lint index and halo length at Faridkot. Barring halo length, this cross showed significant interaction with the environment for all the characters. Both additive and dominance components of variation showed significant interaction with the environment.
