Abstract

Triple test cross progenies resulting from crosses among three testers (Kloka, UP 368 and F1 between them) and 24 varieties have been studied for days to 50 per cent flowering, number of tillers per plant, seed size (in grams per 100 seeds) and grain yield (in grams per plant). Epistasis was important in the expression of all these characters. Additive variance was important for seed size and grain yield and dominance for days to 50 per cent flowering.
