A collection of 181 bread and 24 durum what-stocks was classified for necrotic genes. All the durum wheat varieties were found to be Ne1 carriers. Among the bread wheat stocks two were Ne1, 163 Ne2 and 16 non-carriers. Expression of necrosis appeals to need low temperature during the growing period.
