Abstract

The genetic divergence among 23 varieties of black gram collected from five different states of India was estimated using D2 and canonical analyses. Altogether 9 clusters were formed. No relationship was found between genetic divergence and geographic distribution of the varieties. 1000 garin weight showed maximum contribution to the total divergence.
