Abstract

The present study was undertaken to ascertain parental sample size for estimating, genetic parameters for days to flowering, effective tillers and lodging resistance in pearl millet based on North Carolina design-I. The results suggest that at least 84 males be used to conduct this design for precise estimation of additive and dominance variances.
