Abstract

Genetic analysis is presented for triple test-cross data of pure-breeding lines when one set of progeny families (L1i or L2i) is missing. The comparison (2L3i -P1) has been shown to detect epistasis while the estimates of additive and dominance components are proposed to be obtained from the variance of Pi lines and (L1i -L3i) or (L2i -L3i), respectively, when the testers are phenotypically the most extreme selections. The estimates of genetic components so obtained are orthogonal but the estimates are not equally precise. Therefore, the proposed analysis should only be restricted to the incomplete data.
