Abstract

Inheritance of resistance to rust in four resistant lines, viz. 179, JP 4, Batri Brown and Pea 9 were studied in crosses involving T 163, PG 3 and Hans as susceptible testers. The dominance of resistance in F1 generation, segregation into 3:1 ratio (resistant: susceptible) in the F1 indicated that resistance is controlled by a single dominant gene in each of four accessions.
