Studies undertaken to bring out the inheritance of days to 50% flowering and days to maturity in a 7×7 diallel cross using Fi and F2 generations revealed partial dominance. Both additive and dominance components with the preponderance of additive gene effects played significant role in the inheritance of these characters. Asymmetrical distribution of dominant and recessive genes in the parents was observed. High estimates of narrow sense heritability were obtained for both the characters.
