Eleven mutant lines of Kalyan Sona, c 306,Sonora 64 and wh 147 and seven advance lines of different pedigrees along with wh 147 were characterized for necrotic genes using Kalyan Sona and c 306 as testers. On the basis of necrosis grades, genotypic constitution for different genotypes has been proposed and the practical implications have been discussed.
