Abstract

The hybrid (2n=I9) of B. campestris var. brown sarson × B. oleracea var. italica cross was morphologically intermediate between its parents. It was completely pollen and seed sterile. A maximum chromosomal pairing of 9n + I1 was observed and the most frequent chromosomal association was 7n + 5i indicating a close homology between the two genomes in the hybrids.
