Abstract

Stability parameters along with per se performance of 35 promising genotypes were worked out for eight quality traits under three agroclimatic conditions. Highly significant differences among varieties and genotype × environment interaction far all the characters, except paimitic add, were observed. The environment (linear) integration component was significant for all the traits except paimitic and oleic acids, while the linear component of genotype × environment integration was significant only for oleic and linoleic acids. Pooled deviation was highly significant for all characters. Variety LCM 84–259 was stable for all the eight characters, while varieties BAU-191 and KL 26-2 were stable for six and five characters, respectively. Six genotypes showed stable performance for four of the eight characters studied.
