Abstract

An aneuploid plant (2n = 4x + 2 = 46) was isolated from the advanced generation (C10) of autotetraploid black gram (Vigna mungo). This plant showed reduction in all morphological parameters. It had high pollen and seed sterliity. Meiotic irregularities and unbalanced gametes appear to be the main causes of sterliity in this plant.
